Professional Principles of Stockholding: Materials Preservation, Condition Evaluation & Disposal/ Waste
Understand the issues behind warehouse and stores management, then apply the policies and procedures that govern them. Participants work with inventory and warehouse management systems, materials preservation, condition evaluation and the disposal of waste stock.
- Understand and analyze the issues and concepts associated with warehouse and stores management.
- Understand and apply warehousing and inventory management policies, procedures and guidelines.
- Learn how to use the organization's inventory/ warehouse management system to record and perform warehousing and inventory management activities.
- Module 3 (Company Specific): Principles of Stockholding: Materials Preservation, Condition Evaluation & Disposal/ Waste.
- Explain the organization's stockholding/ storekeeping procedures and guidelines and learn how to use the organization's warehousing/ inventory system to manage stockholding activities effectively.
- Identify materials preservation methods and storage requirements for the various materials classes.
- Understand how to handle materials deteriorations/ damage.
- Outline evaluation methods used to assess and monitor the conditions of materials and identify materials requiring repair/ refurbishment.
- Describe the various materials waste, disposal and recycling methods, procedures and guidelines for the various classifications of materials.
- Use the organization's inventory/ warehouse management system to record materials disposal & waste activities.
- Explain HSSE policies, regulations and guidelines affecting stockholding, i.e. materials preservations, condition evaluation and disposal/ waste.
