Hydrotreating & Hydrocracker Process
- Understand the reaction chemistry, catalyst systems and process variables of hydrotreating and hydrocracking units.
- Identify the main equipment: reactors, recycle gas compressors, high and low pressure separators and product fractionation.
- Control feed quality, hydrogen partial pressure, space velocity and reactor temperature to meet product specifications.
- Recognise catalyst deactivation, fouling and pressure drop problems and apply the correct corrective action.
- Perform safe start-up, normal shutdown and emergency depressuring of the unit.
